The subscription stand is run by an easy-going male Aquilus sapiens. He has the features of an eagle, and wears orange dungarees and dark glasses, with his hair/plumage in a bandana.
If Jade speaks the IRIS password to him, the newsagent will wonder if its a spoonerism. This is likely a reference to IRIS previously being called SPOON in an earlier draft of Beyond Good & Evil.
